Bobcats and Coyotes in the Community

We are surrounded by a semi-greenbelt, so Bobcats and Coyotes are normal for Sunset Pointe. Unfortunately, they are wild animals so the HOA is not responsible for removing them.Little Elm Animal Control states there is very little that can be done. Never feed them, as they will continue to come back. Traps have found to be ineffective. To scare them away, you can try one of these methods below:

• Clapping your hands
• Making loud noises
• A motion detection sensor attached to a sprinkler system. The water tends to startle them and they retreat. These systems can be found at either Lowes or Home Depot. Keep your pets safe. Go outside when you take them out and bring them in with you.
